Agency Overview
ECLI-VIBES is one of Long Island’s most prominent not-for-profit organizations that supports victims of domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault and human trafficking. Our mission is to empower individuals to break free from the cycle of violence and abuse and achieve independence. By providing a safe and supportive environment with essential services, advocacy, and holistic programs, we aim to inspire hope, promote healing, and provide the tools for individuals to shape their own futures.ECLI was initially founded in 2015 by five women who worked for a domestic violence agency and identified the lack of trauma-informed care within the offered services. The co-founders took a leap of faith and became dedicated to bringing trauma-informed services to Long Island, as they realized that a focus on getting to the root cause of survivors’ symptoms would support long-term success for their clients.
ECLI strongly believes that love, compassion, the human connection, and building a collaborative community of support tailored to the specific needs of each individual is the key to successful and long-term outcomes. All services are trauma-informed and provided by trauma-certified individuals; through an array of services, ECLI seeks to empower and assist in the healing process so that each individual can unlock the resilience they possess and live a healthy and fulfilling life.
The agency was formed when the Empowerment Collaborative of Long Island (ECLI) joined forces with the Victims Information Bureau of Suffolk (VIBES), creating a powerhouse organization dedicated to providing essential services, support and advocacy for those affected by violence and abuse.

ECLI-VIBES Vision
A cornerstone of our mission is to foster a warm, welcoming and supportive environment where individuals facing trauma feel safe, respected and understood. Our priority is to build relationships with our clients and provide them with a sense of community and connection.
At ECLI-VIBES we believe that trauma is the catalyst for complex issues rooted in violence and abuse. We aim to uncover and address the underlying causes of trauma, enabling us to facilitate genuine healing and lasting transformation.
Giving back to the community is a top priority, including from a financial perspective. By leveraging grants and funding, ECLI-VIBES seeks out opportunities to put dollars directly into the local economy.
The Team
The highly trained, compassionate team at ECLI-VIBES provides services in a judgment-free, non-discriminatory way, maintaining healthy boundaries and upholding strict confidentiality.
The team at ECLI-VIBES demonstrates a steadfast commitment to identifying and creating connections between clients and the services we provide. The goal is for individuals to take advantage of any and all services they may need.
For example, an individual receiving advocacy assistance for a court appearance may be experiencing food insecurity and can be introduced to the community food pantry.
The ECLI-VIBES team will meet individuals where they are, mentally, emotionally and physically. Support and services are often provided beyond the confines of the ECLI-VIBES office. Advocates regularly meet clients in the field, on their own turf, providing whatever support is needed at the moment.
