How we help: Free support and Resources

  • Immediate Crisis Response: Our team offers real-time support to individuals in crisis, responding via phone, email, or text to meet each caller’s needs with urgency and care.

    Resource Coordination: We quickly connect callers with our internal services, such as counseling, SAFE forensic exams, and housing assistance, as well as trusted external partners.

    Bridge to Prevention and Education: Through critical information sharing, we empower callers with the knowledge and tools for safety and self-care.

  • For Adults, our programs focus on safety, emotional recovery, legal assistance, housing, and career development. Survivors gain access to counseling, advocacy, and essential resources that foster independence and long-term stability. Our Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) services offer sensitive, professional care for survivors of all ages—including children—ensuring a compassionate response during critical moments. Additionally, we provide interventions for families affected by substance use, working to break cycles of trauma and build healthy, supportive relationships.

    For Youth, we emphasize prevention and provide essential support tailored to the unique challenges young survivors face. Our youth programs include trauma-informed counseling, school-based workshops, mentorship, and family support services. We also work with justice-involved youth, providing them with resources and support aimed at breaking cycles of violence and trauma, empowering them to reintegrate into the community and build resilient, positive futures. By teaching healthy relationship skills and emotional resilience, we empower all youth to lead safer, more fulfilling lives. Children are also eligible for our SAFE services, offering them a secure, supportive environment during times of need.

  • Trauma-Informed Care for Survivors of Sexual Assault

    ECLI-VIBES’ Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) Program partners with hospitals across Suffolk County to provide immediate, trauma-informed care to survivors of sexual assault. Our team of certified examiners and Rape Crisis Counselors (RCCs) are available 24/7 to respond to hospital calls, ensuring that survivors receive compassionate support and essential medical services.

    SAFE Services:

    • 24/7 On-Call Forensic Examinations: Our team of Sexual Assault Forensic Examiners (SAFEs) and RCCs responds immediately to hospitals through an on-call calendar, ensuring survivors receive prompt, expert care.

    • Forensic Evidence Collection: Using specialized sexual assault and drug-facilitated sexual assault (DFSA) kits, our team carefully collects evidence to preserve it for any future legal needs.

    • Crisis Intervention: Survivors receive immediate emotional support and advocacy from our trained, volunteer Rape Crisis Counselors, providing comfort and guidance during critical moments.

    • Access to Emergency Medical Services: We provide or coordinate essential medical care, including HIV prophylaxis, pregnancy prevention medication, and referrals for follow-up healthcare.

    • Advocacy Support: Our advocates assist survivors in navigating the legal system, securing protective orders, and accessing community resources that support healing and empowerment.

    • Education and Awareness: We work with schools, colleges, community organizations, businesses, and partners to conduct training and awareness programs that promote understanding and prevention of sexual assault.

  • Empowering Survivors, Building Safer Communities

    ECLI-VIBES is committed to supporting survivors of sexual exploitation and labor trafficking through trauma-informed, survivor-centered care. As part of the Suffolk County Anti-Human Trafficking Initiative (SCATI), supported by federal funding, we work to identify survivors, deliver comprehensive services, support the prosecution of traffickers, and educate the community to prevent future trafficking crimes.

    How Our Anti-Human Trafficking Team Supports the Community:

    • Collaborative Partnerships: We work closely with the Suffolk County Police Department (SCPD), FBI, Homeland Security, and local stakeholders, including hospitals, schools, houses of worship, and other victim service providers. This coordinated response ensures survivors receive timely, holistic care, and perpetrators are held accountable.

    • Crisis Intervention and Case Management: Our team provides immediate support, including safety planning, emergency housing, and access to essential resources.

    • Safe and Stable Housing Support: We assist survivors with temporary and permanent housing solutions, ensuring a safe environment that fosters stability.

    • Counseling and Mental Health Services: Individual and group counseling is available to support healing, empowerment, and personal growth.

    • Community Outreach and Training: We conduct educational programs to raise awareness and train professionals on recognizing and preventing human trafficking.

    Anti-Human Trafficking Services:

    • Employment and Education Support: Assistance with job placement, vocational training, and educational opportunities, helping survivors build independence.

    • Substance Use Recovery: Referrals and ongoing support for survivors facing substance use challenges.

    • Legal Advocacy: Comprehensive support for survivors navigating the court process, securing protective orders, and accessing immigration relief when applicable.

  • The ECLI-VIBES Community Food Pantry is dedicated to providing consistent access to nutritious food, ensuring that no one has to face barriers to meet their immediate needs. Our choice-based distribution model fosters a sense of worth and autonomy, allowing individuals to select items that best meet their personal and family needs. Recognizing the critical link between nutrition, brain function, and overall well-being, the pantry supports individuals on their journey to stability, so they can focus on long-term goals such as employment, housing, and recovery.

    Our pantry is run by dedicated volunteers who not only ensure smooth operations but also create a welcoming space where community members can give back, fostering connection and shared purpose. We believe that addressing basic needs like food is a foundation for meaningful change.

We take a survivor led approach to ensure services and policies take into account the impact of trauma on our clients. This includes being responsive to individual needs and aware of potential triggers, and using a strengths-based approach to empower and help clients build resilience.
